Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain is the only one meant for personal websites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. At first, just third-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to reserve john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased 3rd-level domains remained running.

Through our company, you can obtain your dot NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to change the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer code from the present registration service provider and we will renew it once the transfer has been done. There are no special restrictions on who can get a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the objective behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.
